Eek! I cannot believe 2 months have passed already...last time I wrote on here was before Christmas! I have been very busy, doing make up for weddings, and Nail Art, plus making silk roses ...I managed to fit in a couple of commissions but alas no new dolls...yet! I am in the middle of 3, so will add pics of them when finished. Two are Francies, one Vintage & one repro, I love repainting Francie's. I may also add some pics of the nail art, so pop back soon....hopefully before the end of Feb. Ciao for now! xx

Just a quick update....I am now going under the name of LJ, there are many reasons for this, the main one being that as I am now concentrating on Artist/Custom dolls I wanted a more apt name, and this is actually part of my name, and something that a few friends have called me for the past 9 years or so, and so it seemed right to use it now :)
I am also completely changing my website, in the early months of 2010. I have not been able to add tutorials on here as I would like to, so during the transition from site->site, plus the new name etc..I will keep you updated on here...hopefully I can put up some fabby things that will help some of you in your quest to customise your fave dolls..in the meantime feel free to email me :)

Welcome to my site!
~Im sorry my website is a bit haphazard right now...I am in the middle of changing it~
Doll rerooting and creating OOAK dolls is a very niche market, and very competitive, there is always someone bigger and better than you (& me!) around the corner, but that doesn't stop anyone trying (including me!)...there is room for lots more customisers of dolls out there...personally I think all OOAK dolls are fab as they are different..even if they don't look perfect to the creator of them, they are all special...don't ever let anyone put you off doing them...each one is unique... :-)
I have always had a fascination with eyes, and I am always drawing, sketching, painting & taking pictures of them. I reroot dolls too, but I do prefer to repaint. I am not a seamstress by any means...but way hey I only taught myself to sew just over a year ago so I do my best really :)
I love looking at other peoples creations, I have many friends who send me pics of their new creations, and if I hadnt have taken time to look at other OOAKs then I wouldnt have got into this.
...and please enjoy my site, I hope it helps you in idea's for creating a doll of your own...and if you need any help at all just email me...link at end of page xxxoxx

I have 2 rescue cats, and a Tarantula. I collect lots of different dolls from Blythe & Ellowyne to Pippa & Sheena dolls...here is a pic of some of my Vintage Palitoy Sheena dolls & an Ideal Crissy
My house is non smoking (do people actually still smoke in their houses? eeek!)
I repaint all my dolls by hand, using quality sable brushes and acrylic paints/sealers. I am self taught & have been very proud to have been invited to a major London Art Festival & some creative events in 2009. I hope to do much, much, more in 2010 :)
I would like to thank all my lovely friends (you know who you are!!) for encouraging me to move forward with this & not give up when things were uber tough...no retreat no surrender !!!!
